Julia Bugaeva

Thanks for the help, the treatment is over!!! Help requests are closed!

Julia enrolled for treatment to the Blokhin Institute of pediatric Oncology and Hematology in Moscow recently.

She is 17 years old; she was preparing to graduate from school and dreamed of entering the University, but was completely shocked by the news that she had cancer.

My name is Marina Alekseevna Lohina. My niece, Julia Borisovna Bugaeva, lives and learns in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine. Julia was left an orphan at the age of 9, when both parents died in a car accident on February 14, 2003. Since Julia is under the tutelage of her 75-year-old grandmother. They have 2 pensions money: Julia, as a person, who has loss the parents, and grandma.

In August 2010, Julia visited doctors because of minor, it seemed, injury. Pain of bruised knees did not pass more than one month, the pain got worse and worse. X-rays, tests, the doctors could not say anything specific. For 6 months girl treated injury, doctors prescribed painkillers, did the blockade of nerve, appointed warm, wraps, exercise, exercise therapy. In a half of year, when the pain became so strong that girl was able to sleep only 3-4 hours a day, Julia asked me for help.

Already in Moscow, where I carried niece for examination, first therapist, tested us, just looked at the X-Rays, suspected cancer. We didn't want to believe, looked for salvation from the second, third specialist. But they just confirmed a terrible assumption. Further research gave no chance osteogenic sarcoma of the right tibia. Julia is a citizen of Ukraine, the treatment need 100% payment. (About treatment in Ukraine: in Ukraine we have only the grandmother, she is 75 years old, and she lives in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region hand has a lot of problems with health). In Moscow, I can at least be with her (as far as Julia is minors).

Every phase of chemotherapy is at least 150 thousands rubles. Implant’s cost is incredibly high.

At the moment, Julia is passing the first stage of chemotherapy in the Department of General Oncology. Leg is aching again. The second stage has another cost (300 thousands rubles), but she needs another 3 before implanting and 5 after of it.

Julia is a fun, bright, beautiful girl. Experienced grief - loss of loving parents, who were able to orient in life, to prepare for independent life - did not break her will. Julia by herself cope with school, she enrolled in professional technical school, played sports, played in the volleyball team. Not so long ago in her life it was appeared a friend Zhenya... Illness caught up with her at the moment, when young persons, but not children, begin consciously to look ahead, plan for life, to stand on their feet - to become productive members of our society. Julia is an excellent cook, cooking for her is not just a profession, but a really calling. Not worse she manages with embroidery - all her talents have not been revealed yet.

Girl not yet in life, but she's ready for it. For someone, she will be a wonderful wife and mother.

It remains just to defeat cancer.

We kindly ask you to provide financial support to undergo further treatment in the Blokhin Oncological Scientific Center. The girl is a citizen of Ukraine, so her treatment needs 100% payment (accommodation, all drugs - and dozens of them! Heptral, Albumin. 20%, Metotrexat, and more and  more...). We have already passed one course of chemotherapy (Cisplatin, Adriamycin). It is assigned the second cycle (Methotrexate), it costs is 300000 rubles.
